While we do still carry the ever-popular Evod starter kit from Kangertech, the beginner starter kit market has been flooded with pod systems following the otherworldly success of Juul. Capitalizing on the Juul's shortcomings, these new pod kits are refillable, they have larger batteries, they use universal Micro USB chargers, and the flavor is much better than what the Juul can offer.
The pod vape category has become the new renaissance of the vaping industry, much like the early days of vaping, or the introduction of sub-ohm devices. Every manufacturer is scrambling to make the best pod kit, with subtle innovation and simplicity often beating out complicated and over-designed vapes. This can make finding the right pod vape nearly impossible. Here at Vaporleaf, we test new pod vapes before we decide whether or not we're going to sell them, so you can rest assured that any of the pod vapes we offer are excellent products!
There are a few things you can look at when you're considering a new pod vape. This first thing I would look at is the firing mechanism. Do you have to push a button, or just take a puff? I personally prefer pod vapes with auto draw, because it's one less thing to have to worry about.
The next thing to look at is the battery life. 310 mAh isn't going to get many people through a day on a single charge, but 650 mAh or even 1000mAh will likely still have some charge at the end of the day. Keep in mind that smaller batteries also charge faster.
Next, I would look to the pod itself. Is the coil built in, or are the coils replaceable? How does the pod attach to the device? Is it easy to fill? These small details can make or break a pod system for some people.
The last thing isn't always the most important, but it can be a huge factor. Do you like the way it looks? You will almost always enjoy your vape more when you like the way it looks. Do you like the size? Is it comfortable to hold? Does it fit in your pocket? Do you like the color? The easier it is to live with your vape on a day to day basis, the more likely you are to stick with it.
It's also important to note that refillable pod systems can be used with either freebase nicotine or nicotine salts. Many people think that pod vapes can only be used with nicotine salts, but this is simply untrue. For more information about freebase and salt nicotine, check out our
